Last updated October 26, 2026. This covers bro-ify.com, the Bro This Page bookmarklet, and the Bro-ify extension for Chrome and Edge.

The short version

Bro-ify doesn't collect, sell, or share your personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking cookies.

Text you broify

Text you paste on the website, and text you broify with the extension or bookmarklet, is processed entirely in your browser. It is never sent to our server or anyone else.

Websites you broify with a link

When you paste a link into "Bro a whole website," our server fetches that public page so it can be shown to you broified. The server does not store the page or keep a log of which pages you visit. Like any web server, our host may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, and requested address) for security and troubleshooting. To prevent abuse, the server keeps a short-lived counter tied to your IP address that resets within five minutes.

Pages shown this way have their scripts removed, and login forms are taken out. Never enter a password or payment details on a broified page.

The browser extension

The extension only touches a page when you click its button, use its keyboard shortcut, or choose "Broify this" from the right-click menu. It saves one setting, your bro level, using your browser's built-in extension storage. It does not read your browsing history, does not send anything to any server, and contains no analytics.

The extension asks for these permissions:

Your browser's storage

The website remembers your preferred bro level in your browser's local storage. You can clear it any time by clearing site data for bro-ify.com.

Kids

Bro-ify isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too. Questions? Reach out through the contact listed on the Bro-ify extension's store page.
